Panchkarma and Detoxification

Panchkarma – ayurvedic panchkarma is a very important part of ayurvedic treatment , it also called shodhan treatment . it works to remove impurities from the body , open the blocked channels and rejuvenate every cell . panchkarma is the only way to detoxify the body and to increase the efficiency of the organs. Panchkarma means the five karmas , includes vaman , virechan , vasti nasya , dhumpan or raktmokshan. These are the pradhan karmas but panchkrma also include purva karma that is done before the pradhan karmas , includes snehpan , abhyangam , swedanam . these purvakarmas also play a very important in panchkarma.


Vaman Karmas


Vamana Karma, also known as medical emesis or medical vomiting, is one of the five Pradhana Karmas of Panchakarma which is used in treating Kaphaj disorders. Snehan ( sneh pan and abhyangam) and swedan is very necessary before vaman karma . after vaman karma , digestive power and metabolism become improve , you will feel healthy , light , gain strength , nourishment and immunity.

Virechan


Verichan is the second pradhan karma of panchkarma , It is also called medical purgation that is done by given some medicine like Trifla , Amaltas accordind the Kosth . It is used for pittaj disorders likes skin disease , Liver and Gall Bladder problems , Abcess , Gout etc . The gastro-intestinal tract is also cleansed by Virachana therapy.

Vasti


Vasti is the third pradhan karma of panchkarma that is done after virechan karma. Vasti is the mast effective treatment for vat related disorders like paralysis , osteoarthritis , nerve related problems , facial paralysis , vataj ghrani etc . Vasti karma is entirely different from the enema because enema is giving to clean the bowel but vasti is given to cure the disease . Its is done by introduce medicated oils and decoctions by the anal root.

Nasya Karma


Nasya karma is the procedure to be applied for medicine administered through the nasal route followed by head and facial massage. It is the forth pradhan karma in panchkarma and it is very effective therapy for sinusitis , allergic rhinitis , migraine , brain related diseases like vertigo , poor concentration , depression and eye related disease too.

Dhumpan


Dumpan is the fifth karma of panchkarma . dhum is smoke but it is absolutely different from smoking. It is medicinal smoke that is given by the nose and exhale by the nose or mouth. It is used for asthma , head and neck disease . it is also used as a curative process after panchkarma .

Raktmokshan


Raktmokshan is called bloodletting but it is quite different from this. There are so many process described by acharyas for raktmokshan . It is very effective for raktdoshaj vikraties like Skin Disease , Vericose Vein , dDiabetic Wounds , Cancer Wounds , Sciatica , Liver and Spleen Problems.
